The BBWAA have spoken: Justin Verlander wins AL MVP
He’s the first starting pitcher to win the MVP in either league since Roger Clemens with the Boston Red Sox in 1986.
Verlander received 13 of the 28 first-place votes and tallied 280 points to edge out Jacoby Ellsbury (242), Jose Bautista (231), and Curtis Granderson (215).
Congrats on a fantastic year!
